How to Verify Electric Contact Pressure Gauges

release time:2025-05-19publisher:
Electric contact pressure gauges fall under the scope of JJG 52-2013 Verification Regulation for General Pressure Gauges, Pressure-Vacuum Gauges and Vacuum Gauges. This document focuses on the verification of electric contact pressure gauges.

I. Setpoint Deviation and Switching Differential of Electric Contact Pressure Gauges

表格
ParameterDirect-acting TypeMagnetic-assisted Direct-acting Type
Setpoint Deviation≤ MPE (Maximum Permissible Error of indication)±0.5% FS ~ ±4% FS
Switching Differential≤ |MPE| (absolute value of maximum permissible indication error)3.5% FS

II. Verification of Setpoint Deviation and Switching Differential

Setpoint Deviation Verification

1. Selection of Setpoints:
  • A) Two-position control electric contact pressure gauges:Setpoint deviation shall be verified at three points near the 25%, 50% and 75% graduation marks of the pressure range.

  • B) Three-position control electric contact pressure gauges:

    • Upper-limit setpoint deviation: verified at two points near the 50% and 75% graduation marks

    • Lower-limit setpoint deviation: verified at two points near the 25% and 50% graduation marks

  • C) Electric contact pressure gauges with both upper and lower limits:Upper and lower limit setpoint deviations shall be verified separately.

2. Determination of Upper and Lower Switching Values:
After setting the target setpoint, increase and decrease pressure slowly. When the electric contact actuates and the signal triggers, read the pressure value — this is the upper switching value (on pressure rise) or lower switching value (on pressure fall).
3. Calculation:
  • The difference between the upper switching value and the setpoint pressure is the pressure-rise setpoint deviation.

  • The difference between the lower switching value and the setpoint pressure is the pressure-fall setpoint deviation.

Switching Differential Verification

Switching differential verification is performed simultaneously with setpoint deviation verification. The difference between the upper and lower switching values at the same setpoint is the switching differential.

Jiangjing Technology's Intelligent Digital Pressure Calibratoris particularly well-suited for verifying electric contact pressure gauges. During indication verification, it simultaneously measures the upper and lower switching values and features a memory display function.
